The Color WithinThe clouds so dark do hide the sun
And the earth is cool and sad
The shadows upon the land shall run
Heavy hearts in sorrow clad

Yet in the saddened shadows bring
The pure and cleansing rain
Quench the seeds from which life springs
And wash away old pains

The stone who boasts that shabby shade
Who is calloused, cold, and dead

Fills many hearts with dread

His body smells of winter
His eyes disguised in ice
Reflecting steadily until
I feel him complicate my will
His tongue is something bitter

His gentleness is touching
His anger yet to form

His character is chilling
His face an angel born

His strength disarms my whisper
His voice a silver night
I feel him sigh beneath it all
A master bending to my call
His body draws still nearer

Between Human And BeastThe beast tried to run away but now is squatted on the ground,
Desperate it tries to howl but what comes out is just blood,
With fangs and claws they are ripping off its skin,
They are displaying satisfied a sardonic grin.

While wresting its flesh, humans they claim to be,
Killing the beast, they say is setting the world free,
Bound in chains it lies dreaming to the last breath,
But they won't listen to its despairing cries for a sudden death,
Because the beast is accused of defiance,
Being different - maybe was made with the Devil a compliance.

Lacerating its bruised skin with their crooked teeth,
The beast is wailing, blood gushi

Let the eye remember
I saw against my will
Let his lashes tremble
But my heart is silent still
Let him weep a river
A river washes sin
Sons of man, forgive me
My heart has given in

Let the tongue conceal me
Wagging fast and thick
Let her body change me
Words to make you sick
Selfish in my sorrow
Tarnished in my pain
Licking up the swollen sky
To rid it of the stain
